Feed the streets

We have been in regular contact with those in Nanyuki, who not only look after the home, but also Paul Hammond from Ndege Wa Pori. We did mention in our previous update that one of the intentions, of the collaboration between our charity and Ndege, was the “feed the streets” campaign. Well, we are pleased to report that the campaign has been extremely successful and, at present, 120 children are being catered for and the project has been extended to two days per. week.

Carolyn and Bill held a “Jazz in the Garden” evening on Saturday the 23rd June which was well attended by family and friends and the sum of £1246.38 was raised. As Carolyn and Bill personally funded the evening, the full amount raised will benefit the children.

Carolyn and Bill hope to visit Nanyuki in September and if any of our sponsors would like us to take letters etc please contact us as soon as possible.

It is gratifying to note that our web site has now passed the 10,000 hits mark, please tell your friends, family and colleagues and see if we can “sign up” some more sponsors. Many thanks for your support

It’s important that we look to the future for the children that leave the home, when they reach the age 16/18 and provide them with hope for their adult life.
