Charity Name Change

Those of you that are regular readers of our “Latest News” will have noticed that, as a charity, we felt the need to expand our help to the larger community in Nanyuki, from assisting the older children, when they have left the home, to helping with the feeding of those on the streets and assisting Ndege Wa Pori with their large programme of assisting the wider community.

To this end the committee felt that the inclusion of the word “Home” in our name did not express our commitment to the wider issues in Nanyuki and we therefore applied to the Charity Commission for permission to remove the word “Home” from our charities name. This permission has now been granted and from now on our charity will be known as “Nanyuki Children’s Charitable Trust”

Although the wording in our title has change our commitment to the home remains unchanged, in fact Carolyn and Bill will be visiting the home on their visit in September and it is hoped that they will be meeting with the Minister for Gender to discuss the needs of the home and the children. We will of course keep you up to date from Nanyuki.
